Falias

Falias where frost grows. Falias the joyless. Falias, where Death is seen walking among the Fae, yet where none die. The city of winter, of earth, of the north. Covered with ice-green spires, the city is where Joy goes to be forgotten. It is in Falias that the prisoners of the Fomorians are kept, eternally starving under lock and key, forgotten and yet deathless. The stars fall constantly upon the city, where prisoner Fae harvest the burning rocks and fatigued craftsmen endlessly churn them into clever new weapons for the Fomorian cause. The city is constantly watched by snow-white ravens, spies of Balor who ensure that all are loyal.

If mortals could forget Falias, they would. Yet they know it in the Tarot by the suit of Pentacles. It is by this sign that the Stone of Destiny, called Lia Fáil by some, is known. The largest of all meteors, far older than Tir Na Nog itself, it is said to have the power to declare kings, and many of its lesser pieces have been used as the sites where mortals were crowned. The Fomorians have not yet turned to the mysterious powers of the Stone to win the war, but each day they grow closer to using it to crown one of their own as king over all of Tir Na Nog.

The Fatebound of the Tribe of Falias do not miss the endless biting cold, nor the sharp eyes of the snow-white ravens. Yet they do not relax. They speak in whispers, and watch over their backs. They fear Death more than any other Fatebound, yet they court it too, sneaking through shadows to bring a quiet demise to enemies that would dare act against them. They most often claim the kingship among the Unseelie, pointing to the Stone of Destiny as their birthright, and with it, the crown.
